GREAT TRIPS: ERIK THE RED

This person is very important at history because he found out Greenland.

He was born in Iceland in 950 A.D. and died in 1003 A.D. in Eystribygso.

The origin of the nickname ``The Red´´ (El Rojo) was because he did a lot of slaughters.

Erik leaded the first viking gang and founded Greenland. He spent three years exploring the surroundings of the island. After those years, Erik went back to Iceland and back again to Greenland, where he died the first winter after he and his son arrived.
